The suppliers of canned produce to state-financed organizations are counting losses

Many companies experience problems supplying the produce to the state-funded organizations, "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal informs. The quarantine (as a result of the flu virus spreading throughout Ukraine) was the main reason for the suspended purchase of canned produce; this period took almost the whole February this year. The kindergartens and schools were quarantined in particular; these institutions are the main consumers of the produce manufactured by the processing industry. These organizations mostly demand garnish and other canned produce; the sales volumes of the mentioned products have been significantly reduced by the present moment.

The specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal point out that the mentioned enterprises are actually not able to find any other sales channels because the situation on the produce processing market is generally complicated nowadays. This situation is mostly predetermined by the increased production volumes by many enterprises in fall 2006. As a result, some sales items were oversupplied on market.

The representatives of the state-funded organizations said that the normal working regime is restored: but, there are significant stocks of produce so that the organizations are not willing to purchase more items at the present moment.
