Vegetable, fruit and mushroom resellers try to hold the prices in after-holiday period

The first working day of this week started with almost the same prices which were formed before the holidays on the wholesale produce markets in Ukraine. For example, the price monitoring on FARMER wholesale market in Kyiv proved that on Tuesday morning, April the 19th, the prices for most vegetables and fruits, and also mushrooms have not been substantially changed. The prices for greenhouse cucumbers and tomatoes, for "borsch" vegetables, fruits and grape are within the limits of the past week prices. The price for mushroom is still the same.

Despite of the fact that the after-holiday period started with the favorable for resellers prices, the specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal forecast the prices to decrease in the next two-three days. The reason of the forecasted price decrease is the reduced demand in the after-holiday period and the extended supply of the early produce on market.
