Ukraine enjoys good opportunities to export early onion

To the opinion of the analysts of ""Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal", early onion of Ukrainian origin may have rather good exporting perspectives; this product is expected to enter the market as soon as early June. The specialists believe, the inner price for early onion will be significantly lower this season than in 2006; moreover, the product will enter the markets earlier. To get higher profit on this crop production, right now the producers are interested in the opportunities to sell onion abroad.

The thing is, fruits, berries and vegetables have been severely frost-injured in Poland; the stocks of onion of 2006 harvest have been almost totally spent. So, the prices for early onion will probably reach the top record in this country in June-July 2007. Also, the prices for early onion will be relatively high in Russia; this country imported large volumes of late onion from Ukraine this season.
