First shipments of Ukrainian early carrot entered country markets
The specialists of ""Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal" inform about first shipments of early carrot of national origin have been coming from the farms of the southern oblasts of Ukraine and Zakarpattya since the beginning of this week. As of today, the sales prices for early carrot vary $1-1.4/kg. The specialists forecast the further price decrease in line with the growing supplies of this product on market.
The market players point out that this price range is characteristic for almost all regions of the country. Just to compare: the prices for past year quality carrot are retained on the permanent level of $0.28-0.4/kg; the demand for this product is gradually increasing in line with the reducing carrot supplies on market.
There are very few supplies of early table beets on market; this product is mostly coming from the farms of the southern oblasts. The sales price for early table beet is $1.4-1.6/kg.
