Ukraine: many processing enterprises are not ready to new season

This information is provided by the representatives of the processing enterprises to the specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal - CIS produce business periodical. Many enterprises have not started yet signing contracts with the producers on raw materials supply - the reason is the absence of the operational assets.

We have already informed that many processing enterprises planned to increase the volumes of fruit and berry processing this season, because the stocks of canned vegetables are more than significant at the present moment. However, the processors have faced the problem of lack of funds to start forming the raw material base. The thing is, large stocks of unsold canned vegetables have been accumulated in warehouses. In future the producers of canned products can only hope to get loans, otherwise many processing enterprises will just stop working in 2007.
