The most prominent annual event for mushroom industry will take place in Kyiv on June 12th-14th

The second international conference "Mushroom Industry 2007" will be conducted in the National Complex "Expocenter of Ukraine" on June 12th-14th, 2007. The conference will be held in the framework of the unique for Ukraine exhibition for mushroom growers; the event will gather the largest players of mushroom market, the suppliers of raw materials and inputs for mushroom production. The companies from 10 countries have been already registered for participation; the largest delegations are expected to come from Poland, Russia, and Netherlands. Jochen Winkhoff, a well-known specialist of mushroom market of Germany will make presentation under support of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation and Ukrainian-German agrarian dialog. Responding to the presentations of the foreign guests, Vladimir Matershev, Farida Fakhrutdinova, the recognized Russian consultants, Olexander Khrenov, the General Director of "Mushroom Production School", the industry leading companies in Ukraine - "Ukrchampignon", "Kvity-Service", "Ukrmitseliy", "Valentina" farm, "Grikar APS", "Biotechnology" and others will share their vision of the mushroom business perspectives.

The speakers will focus on the issues divided into three subcategories: the mushroom market trends, the up-to-date elements of the technologies and mushroom farm management. The attendees of the conference will have a chance to listen to the professional opinion regarding the possible threat caused by the foreign competitors, the world trends of mushroom production, common mistakes made by mushroom growers, the utilization of phase 3 compost, caking, climate control equipment and other topics. The program provides time for informal talks and a visit to the advanced compost and mushroom producing farm in Kyiv oblast.
