Polish produce beats down the price for locally produced mushrooms again

The representatives of the wholesale companies in Kyiv region speak about considerable amounts of high-quality mushroom of Polish origin entering the inner market. In the end of the previous week the champignon producers were able to raise the sales prices up to $2-2.6/kg. They saw practically no problems to sell mushrooms due to the stable demand and the reducing mushroom supplies on market. But, Polish produce for $2-2.2/kg entered the market, so that national producers had to reconsider the sales prices. As of today, the sales prices are set within the limits $ 1.8-2.2/kg. Local mushroom producers consider contraband supplies of Polish mushrooms to be their main problem, because the specialists are not able to track the volumes and time of delivery of the supplied produce.

At the same time, no supplies of Polish produce are recorded in the central and eastern regions. The producers either keep the prices on the previous level or reconsider the prices upwards there.
