Apple Juice in Ukraine, Russia, and Other CIS Countries Can Grow in Price
In analysts of weekly, "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" opinion, apple concentrate producers from Russia and Ukraine may foresee high profitability of their business currently. First of all, this season there are sufficient raw materials purchased at prices even lower than those last year. On the other hand, Poland as a largest producer and exporter of apple concentrate in Europe, ranking according to this index the second in the world after China, can reduce its volumes of production abruptly, which will mandatory be reflected by the prices.
According to "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" analysts' opinion, apple concentrate production in Poland can decrease 3-4 times comparing to last year figures. Thus, instead of large volumes of exports, Polish producers will most probably have to purchase the concentrate to produce apple and other juices, produced on the basis of apple one, from abroad. The most probable suppliers of the concentrate to Poland will be China, Turkey, Iran, and Ukraine. Moldova, being significant producer and exporter of apples and apple concentrate, will decrease its production greatly as a result of this year drought; and Hungary, Slovakia, and Czechia suffered as Poland from May light morning/ night frost.
However, it will be difficult to buy apple concentrate at the external market this year. According to analysts' estimates, its exports from China can be reduced this year, however, if prices are increasingly go up, export volumes can restore. However, prices for the cheapest concentrate shipped from China, are now already 10-20% higher than the last year price for Polish concentrate at the inner market. Analysts also predict further growth in world prices for apple concentrate.
Ukraine that has annually reduced its apple concentrate exports, will be able to raise its export volumes again thanks to growth in production. Thus, the competition for the concentrate at the inner market will be high enough, and prices, to experts of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" mind, will go up. The rise in prices for the concentrate is expected also at Russian Federation market where most juices are produced from imported concentrate. Thus, prices for apple juice in Ukraine may increase by 10-15% comparing to those last year, and in Russia - by 20-25%.
