МЕТRО may invest €22 mln. to Ivanovskaya region

The investments of LLC "МЕТRО Cash&Carry" to Ivanovskaya region may amount to EUR 22 mln. Dmitriy Mikheyev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Ivanovskaya region, the Manager of Economic Development Complex provided this information to IA "Finmarket" on the basis of the conclusions of "METRO" company representatives' visit to the region. The company representative mentioned the direct investments to the construction and equipment of multi-functional trade complex as the attractive component of METRO investment project. The investments will approximately total to EUR 18-22 mln.; the trade center will occupy the area of 9,000 sq.m.

The Managing Board of LLC "МЕТRО Cash&Carry" decided to extend the trade chain in the central region. As of today, "METRO" company owns 33 trade centers in 23 regions of Russia; the total trade turnover constituted more than EUR 2 billion in 2006.
