Ukraine: high demand for vegetables keep prices up

The specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" inform, the demand of the wholesale companies for almost all types of vegetables remains steadily high. Despite of the relatively high prices, observed this year, and dull trend of the price decline even in the season of the massive harvesting in the farms, the wholesalers are active to purchase vegetables. Primarily, they mention carrot as one of the most problematic items. Most companies have already been searching for large shipments of good quality carrot, and they face difficulties. Even their attempts to increase the purchase price do not ultimately lead to the positive result.

The enterprises of the processing sector have not started purchasing vegetables yet; nevertheless, the specialists of these enterprises are almost sure that the prices for raw materials will be higher than in the previous year.
