"Ramstor" supermarket chain will probably leave Krasnoyarsk
Two rather young "Ramstor" supermarkets will probably disappear in Krasnoyarsk soon, Siberian News Agency informs.
We'd like to remind that two Turkish companies, "Migros" and "Enka" equally shared the management of the chain of Russian stores. Past week the second owner got 100% of the business. It is curious but from now on "Enka" company is more interested in real estate; 600 million dollars business is an open question now. The company's employees are not informed about the peculiarities of the rearrangement.
However, the competitors are on the alerts. From the beginning there were lots of the contenders for the ownerless 50 percents. Now they keep an eye on the opportunity to have 100% ready business in hand. "Enka" company is targeted now on the construction of the airports, bridges, industrial objects and pipelines in Turkey; it will sell 100% of the retail business soon. American "Wal-Mart" is the first in the queue. This company has more than five thousands of the stores of wear, drugstores, hypermarkets and supermarkets throughout the world. But, it has not won Russian market yet. French "Auchan" and "Mosmart" are its closest competitors. X5 Retail Group has the greatest chance to replace "Ramstor"; this chain is widely known due to around 1,300 supermarkets and stores "Pyatorochka" and "Perekrestok" throughout Russia.
But, "Ramenka" company, the owner of "Ramstor" supermarket chain in Russia is going through hard times now. The rearrangements in the company's management provide a vivid negative effect on the operations of the supermarkets chain. The service and products quality have gone worse. "Ramstor" is obviously legging behind comparing to the rapid development of the other supermarket chains in Krasnoyarsk. As a result of the management policy this chain may possibly leave the trade map of Russia.
