Blueberry slows down brain senescence

The experts have found out that blueberry is able to slow down the process of coming into age; it is even capable to control Alzheimer disease, www.news.com.au informs.

The researches prove that a cup of blueberry a day will keep your brains young; this statement is based on the research, which confirms the slow-down of the process of brain senescence. However, the research also found out that spinach, walnuts or grapefruit juice are also able to maintain brain health, if blueberry is a too heavy job for your stomach.

Prof. James Jones, Boston university is sure that blueberry is the key to preserve brain's youth. "Nowadays we do not fully understand the mechanism of the blueberry's positive effect for human brains. But, our recent researches confirm that blueberry intensifies the signals important for the processes related to memorization. We conducted tests on rodents, the positive results were achieved", Professor says.

The capacities of the commercial blueberry production have been tested since 2005 in Ukraine; there are positive results. You will be able to study the results of the research conducted on the demo blueberry fields in Vinnitsa region during the fourth international conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2007.
