Khleb Ukrainy cut other companies from exporting grain through Odesa elevator
State-owned joint-stock company Khleb Ukrainy (Bread of Ukraine) has stopped grain exports by other companies through Odesa port elevator, its Head Mykola Kucher told reporters Wednesday.
Odesa port elevator belongs to Khleb Ukrainy.
He said if other companies wished to transship grain through this elevator, they were "to work with Khleb Ukrainy" on a FOB basis.
He noted that Khleb Ukrainy was planning to load elevator for 100 percent of its capacity and to perform export operations on its own.
He said grain shipping capacity of the elevator was 140,000 tonnes a month.
He refused to disclose projected export amounts of Khleb Ukrainy, saying it was a commercial secret.
He also said in previous years 6 to 8 companies had exported grain through Odesa elevator.
Khleb Ukrainy has exported to date about 100,000 tonnes of new crop grain.
