Potato yield 2007 will stay on the past year level - "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits"

The analysts of CIS produce business periodical "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly during their work on the updated Production and Price Forecast for fruits and vegetables in Ukraine in the season 2007-2008 came to the conclusion that the average potato yield will stay on the past year level this year.

Despite of the significanlty changed yield in several regions (the increased yeild in forest-steppe and the declined yield in the other agriclimatic zones) due to the extension of potato cultivation areas, the total prodcution may increase in 2007. The quality parameters of potato, and also planed potato volumes to be loaded to storages differ signficnalty in dependence on the region.
