World prices for apple concentrate continue increasing; the supply remains restrained

According to estimations done by the analysts CIS produce business periodical "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly, the supply of apple concentrate remains insufficient in the world, it is not able to fully satisfy the growing global demand. According to the data provided by Food Institute Report, the prices for Chinese apple concentrate are already reaching $2,600-2,800/ton; European prices exceed $4,000 per ton.

The analysts of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" inform, high prices for apple concentrate are mostly predetermined by the declined apple production and processing in USA, EU and China - the three main regions-suppliers of apple concentrate. At the same time, the growth of citrus production, in particular, orange in USA, may become a negative factor, because the trends of apple and orange concentrates are interrelated.
