Russian wholesale companies are interested in Ukrainian vegetables and fruits
During the second international conference for fruit&vegetable business professionals "Fruit&Vegetable Business of Russia 2007. Wealth of New Opportunities" the large wholesale companies and retail chains of Russian Federation were greatly interested in the extension of the geography of fruit&vegetable imports. Fruit and vegetable production dynamically develops in Ukraine; the volumes of imports are simultaneously increasing in Russia, so that good opportunities for cooperation between two countries are created. That's why, during the event in Moscow many Russian companies actively tried to learn about the opportunities to establish direct business contacts with large producers and exporters of Ukraine.
To a great extent thanks to the increased interest from the side of Russian purchasers, "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly made a decision to include "Wholesale-Retail center" to the program of the fourth international conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2007. Meeting New Leader". The meetings and negotiations of the potential suppliers and prospective buyers of fruits and vegetables will be organized in the framework of this activity. Russian importers and retail chains (some of them have already confirmed their participation), as well as Polish, Dutch, Moldovan and Georgian exporters and importers will be invited for participation in Wholesale-Retail center. Russian companies are mostly interested in imports of greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers, early and late vegetables and berries, onion, apple and sweet cherry, and also exports of potato, carrot and cabbage. Polish suppliers are traditionally interested in Ukrainian buyers of apples and pears, and also suppliers of onion, watermelon and possibly some other types of fruits and vegetables. Georgian and Moldovan suppliers are ready to supply fresh apples and early vegetables; Moldova is also actively seeking for the buyers of canned fruits and vegetables on Ukrainian market. Georgia is able to export tangerines, fresh herbs, apple and tangerine concentrate, hazelnut and other products to Ukraine.
Wholesale-Retail Center will soon be added to the conference program. Let us remind that, to participate in the conference, you need to fill in the online application form on our site. The conference will start on the 4th of December 2007 on the territory of the National Complex "Expocenter of Ukraine" in Kyiv; the event will last for free days.
