Wild mushroom presses the price for champignon down on Ukrainian market

The experts of CIS produce weekly "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" inform, the prices for champignon continue decreasing on Ukrainian market. Market players say, one of the reasons of price decline is a traditionally increased consumption of wild mushrooms (mostly honey agaric) - large volumes of these mushrooms are sold on city markets now. The other reason is that small and medium mushroom growers have increased the production, as they grow mushrooms only in cool season.

Imported champignon of Polish origin does not influence much Ukrainian market, as the supplies are limited by the insignificant price difference between two markets. At the same time, its influence is felt in the western region of the country.
