Ukraine: prices for pickled vegetables significantly increased

The specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" project inform about significantly increased prices for pickled vegetables in Ukraine. Right now the producers set the sales prices more than 1.5 times as high than in the previous year. To the experts' opinion, one of the factors for the prices to increase is high cost for raw materials this season. As a consequence, the production decreased, first of all in small enterprises. At the same time, the sales volumes of pickled vegetables continued increasing in Ukraine. To a certain extent, this situation became possible due to the reduced number of home-made cans.

To the opinion of the specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits", pickled vegetables are one of the perspective segments of the market of processed vegetables of Ukraine.
