Georgia and Azerbaijan start forcing Ukrainian fresh herbs out of Russian market
According to information provided by CIS fruit & vegetable business weekly "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits", Ukrainian fresh herbs (parsley, dill and cilantro) significantly influence the prices on Russian market, as before. However, market players inform, past week Georgian fresh herbs started entering markets; fresh herbs supplies form Ukraine reduced simultaneously. We'd like to remind that the supplies of fresh produce from Georgia to Russian market are banned, however, the suppliers find opportunities to export products.
This situation let the prices stay firm; moreover, the supplies of Azerbaijani fresh herbs also continued to increase. According to the forecasts of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits", in the coming weeks the supplies of Russian and Ukrainian fresh herbs will reduce on market, so that Georgian, Azerbaijani and Uzbek suppliers are able to increase prices for fresh herbs.
