Increased demand for aseptic tomato paste is observed in Ukraine

The producers of aseptic tomato paste observe the higher demand for their products if compared to the previous season, especially for the paste of 25% concentration. To the opinion of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" specialists, this fact is predetermined by relatively low tomato harvest and a high prices for raw materials this year, as a result. Because of the same reason many processors failed to fully form the tomato raw material basis - now they have to compensate the shortage by means of tomato paste.

The increased interest to the purchases of aseptic tomato paste let the producers of this products correct the sales prices upwards. For example, comparing to the previous year the sales prices increased in average 50% - the price level has increased 20% since the previous month. As of today, the average sales price for tomato paste is $1.3-1.5/kg.

Many producers are sure - if the demand will further increase, the free volumes of paste will be over on the enterprises by the beginning of New Year.
