Market players inform the experts of CIS produce business weekly "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits", as of today, the price decline for onion is observed in Privolzhskiy Federal Okrug. As of today, the players can purchase the major volumes of onion for not more than $0.32-0.45/kg. To the opinion of the specialists of wholesale companies, this circumstance is predetermined by the totally increased supply on the background of stable demand. The market is saturated with national products of average quality. In these conditions the supplies of Uzbek onion were the main reason of price decline, In most cases the quality of Uzbek onion was estimated as low.

Relatively low prices for onion in Russia this season are the main reason which hampers the active exports of this product from Ukraine.
