Israeli fresh herbs started entering Ukrainian market
The monitoring specialists of fruit & vegetable market of Ukraine of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly inform that first shipment of fresh herbs of Israeli origin was supplied to Ukraine. The demand for Israeli parsley has been weak yet despite of high quality of this product. The reason is high price - the product costs up to $14/kg in wholesale. At the same time, Ukrainian parsley of affordable quality is sold for $4-5/kg.
The market players inform, Ukrainian parsley is still present on the parsley market, but most part of dill is of Georgian origin. The prices for Georgian parsley amount to $6-8/kg. The experts of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" inform that the prices for fresh herbs may increase for another 25-35% by the New Year.
