Pomegranate is becoming more popular
"Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly informs, the popularity of pomegranate is increasing in many countries of the world thanks to its unique properties. As a result, the demand for this fruit increases and stimulates the investments to pomegranate production.
Pomegranate is usually consumed as fresh product and as decoration for desserts in Ukraine. Also, pomegranate juice is becoming more popular among the producers. Pomegranate is used for various appetizers and salads in Georgia. People of other countries use this fruit to cook sauces and to garnish meat and desserts. To the experts' opinion, there are unlimited opportunities to use pomegranate in cookery - this is one of few fruits which may be used in sweet, spicy and common courses.
In addition to taste peculiarities, pomegranate has many beneficial characteristics. This fruit has a very high anti-oxidant content - to the scientists' opinion, this is the best preventative measure against cancer, coming into age, heart diseases, arthritis, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
