Ukrainian farmers applied 3 mln t of organic and 32,000 t of mineral fertilisers under winter crops seeded

According to State Statistics Committee, as of September 30, 2002 farming enterprises of Ukraine, reporting to the Committee within the current accountability procedure, applied 3.924 million tonnes of organic and 31,770 tonnes of mineral fertilisers under seeded winter crops. On average, 1 tonne of organic and 8 kilograms of mineral fertilisers were applied per 1 hectare of sown area.

As of October 3 last year 4.34 million tonnes of organic and 43,500 tonnes of mineral fertilisers had been applied to the soil, prepared for winter crops planting.
