Ukraine: "Velyka Kyshenya" turnover increased 38% in 2007
Oleg Pyavka, Financial Director of LLC "Kviza Trade" informed, the turnover of the national retail chain "Velyka Kyshenya" increased 38% in 2007, according to the tentative data.
However, the company representative did not release any accurate data. According to him, now the company is preparing the official report about the activities in 2007. "The management of the company will soon be presented during the press-conference; or, the report will be published", Mr. Pyavka said.
In 2006 the company turnover was $ 403 mln. So, according to the estimations of RetailStudio.org, the turnover exceeded $556 mln. in 2007 (disregarding the currency exchange rate fluctuation).
RetailStudio.org information: "Velyka Kyshenya" is one of the largest national retail chains in Ukraine. As of today, "Velyka Kyshenya" is represented in 19 cities of Ukraine; it consists of 41 stores (there are 30 supermarkets and 11 hypermarkets. The aggregate trade floors of the chain occupy around 120,000 sq. meters. As of the end of 2006, more than 12,500 persons have been employed by the company. The average receipt in 2006 was UAH 44 ($8.8). The net sales volume per one square meter of trade floor was around $6,000 in average throughout the chain in 2006. The chain performed $403 mln. of net sales in 2006; this achievement let "Velyka Kyshenya" occupy the fourth place in the rating of Ukrainian trade chains by RetailStudio.org.
