Dutch technology greenhouse complex to be constructed in Krasnoyarskiy kray
The members of the Commission on investment projects selection in the framework of small business in Krasnoyarskiy kray are intended to personally learn about the unique project of the program participant. The participant plans to set up the year-round production of cucumbers and fresh herbs according to Dutch technology. The Department of economic planning and industrial complex, Regional Administration, has provided this information to FederalPress channel today, January 31st. In this regard, tomorrow they plan to visit greenhouse complex of Vasiliy Ursulyak, the private entrepreneur (in Krasnoyarsk suburb). The donations from the regional budget are allocated for the development of "Greenhouse vegetable production according to Dutch technology" project of this entrepreneur.
The experience of the private entrepreneur Vasiliy Ursulyak's cooperation with the government may be considered as advanced. He obtained the first governmental support for the development of "Lettuce line establishment" in 2004. That time the entrepreneur received the donations from the regional budget worth to just $5,700. The reconstruction of the greenhouse complex was the next Ursulyak's project which obtained state support. That time the entrepreneur received the donations worth to more than $122,700.
In the end of the previous year the entrepreneur again submitted the investment project "Greenhouse vegetable production according to Dutch technology" for the consideration of the Administration of Krasnoyarskiy kray. The project implementation period is 67 months (till 2012). The project is supported by the regional authorities; state support will be provided starting from 2008.
The essence of the project is the creation of the production facility for the all-year cucumber and fresh herbs growing in the greenhouses in Krasnoyarsk suburb (12 ha of land plot on the territory of excavation plant). The project foresees the construction of the greenhouse complex with the modern Finnish equipment for cucumber, tomato, lettuce and fresh herbs production, the purchase of auto transport for the delivery of perishable products. The planned volume of the production will amount up to 230 tons of cucumbers and 350,000 heads of lettuce per year. Fourteen additional jobs have been already created. The planned additional tax revenues to the consolidated regional budget will amount to around RUR 6 mln. ($ 240,000).
The experts say, Vasiliy Ursulyak applies Dutch technology as the peculiarity of vegetable production. The computer-controlled drippers are led to each plant; they supply fertilizers and water in certain volumes at a certain time. Also, vegetable crops are grown in a special organic substrate - it helps regulate the supply of feeding solution and maintain the optimal water-air environment. No nitrates are accumulated in the vegetables thanks to the balanced feeding.
Also, one of the conditions of Dutch technology application is plant pollination by bumblebees. To do that, the entrepreneur purchases bumblebee families specially for each greenhouse. The products will be obligatory certified and supplied to the largest trade chains of Krasnoyarsk under "Forest-Siberian greenhouse" brand. Ursulyak's products compete with primarily imported products both as for quality and price on the regional market. The volume of vegetable sales increased more than 12 times in 2007 comparing to 2004.
It is worth mentioning that the regional target program "Development of small and medium private entrepreneurs in Krasnoyarskiy kray" allocates a little less than one million dollars for the donations of small and/or medium private entrepreneurs for the reimbursement of the part of the credit interest rates and a part of leasing payments in 2008. By means of this program section the officials plan to support 15 projects of small business, which will create 200 jobs.
