Russia: vegetables will be produced on chip coconut in Volzhskiy
A unique greenhouse complex was opened on the 19th of February in Volgogradskaya region. The press service of the regional administration informs, there are no analogs of the greenhouses in "Ovoshevod" farm in Volzhskiy town. The grafted tomatoes are produced here according to Japanese technology; plants are pollinated with natural bumblebees even in winter. Common tomatoes and cucumbers are produced according to Dutch technology. The substrates on the basis of mineral wool, expanded clay, and even chip coconut are applied. A dripper is piped to each plant. The chemical content of the feeding is accurately calculated on the molecular basis. All these methods let the producers increase the yield 10-15%. The acreage of a new greenhouse for ecologically safe vegetables production is more than three hectares. It has been constructed just during nine months. A hundred millions of rubles ($4.08 mln.) was invested for the implementation of a new project.
