Kazakhstan: unique vegetable processing and drying plant is launched in Semeya

The unique plant for vegetable drying and processing is launched in the village Prirechnoye, Semeyskiy district. The designed capacity of the plant is one ton of product per day, "Kazinform" informs.

The plant technology is the non-waste production. Earlier the second-grade vegetables were thrown away as garbage or used as forage for livestock. Now these vegetables are dried and processed. Kazakhstanian enterprises - producers of mixes, instant soups and spices - are ready to purchase the such vegetables which used to meet no demand on fresh market.

"Such products meet a great demand in our country, and our plant is unique, there are no other enterprises of this kind in Kazakhstan. We produce dried vegetables which always enjoy demand", Vladislav Yegorov, Senior Technologist of the plant says.

Modern technologies are applied in the production. The equipment was purchased in Saint-Petersburg. The Government also provided financial support. The short-term plans of the specialists are to establish the packing of the ready products.
