Russia: new Dutch greenhouse was launched in Kemerovskaya region

New greenhouse complex was constructed on the basis of "Kaltanskoye" farm. According to the specialists' calculations, it will be seven times as more profitable than old greenhouses, www.kuzbassfm.ru informs. The enterprise plans to harvest vegetables the whole year round in a new greenhouse. The rates of harvesting will be a record - 55 kg of vegetables per each square meter, or almost twice as much than in the common greenhouses. Computer controls the temperature and moisture content in the air; the double glass prevents frost-injuries of the plants.

Mr. Aman Tuleev, the Governor of the region, participated in the opening of a new and useful object. He appealed to the personnel of "Kaltanskoye" farm to replace the rest of old greenhouses with the new ones in the coming 2-3 years. This step let the farm almost double the production of winter vegetables by 2010.

Also, the head of the region emphasized, it is not enough to grow vegetables - the producer should also profitably sell them. That's why the farm will have to extend the assortment and to develop the own trademark. Moreover, five large cities are located near Novokuznetskiy region, so that the sales market is huge.
