Dagestan intends to revive cannery industry

Buynakskiy cannery is in the process of modernization in Dagestan. After the modernization the enterprise capacity will amount to 40 mln. of jars with canned products. The modern equipment and the relevant raw material base let the plant increase both the production capacities and the product quality.

At the present moment the out-of-date production lines are operating in the processing enterprises of Dagestan. According to the specialists' estimations, the installation of new Italian equipment let the processors set up the production according to European standards.

Past season the cannery industry of Dagestan was able to produce 20 millions of jars. This is one tenth of the volume produced in the Republic in the eighties of the 20th century. The reconstruction of the canneries let the Republic restore the profitable branch of the economics, skavkaz.rfn.ru.
