Nagorniy Karabakh: the plant to be launched in Artsakh
The cannery of "Artsakhfruit" firm will soon be opened in Stepanakert, the agency Karabakh-Open informs with the reference to Armo Tsatryan, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Nagorniy Karabakh.
The Minister says, as soon as in spring the plant will start accepting vegetables and fruits from the population. There is a plan to produce around 2.5 mln. items at the initial stage.
According to A. Tsatryan, the Government of the Republic supports this project. The budget funds will repay a part of the interest rate of the loan obtained by the enterprise in one of Artsakh banks.
"This will be a large plant which may extend and perform several businesses simultaneously in future. The plant is ready to accept vegetables and berries from the villages, including the remote settlements, from the South of Kashatagskiy district, in particular. We have achieved the preliminary agreement that the plant will purchase the products on-site if the large volumes of the agricultural products are accumulated in a certain settlement of the district", Mr. Tsatryan observed.
Garik Sarukhanyan, the Director of "Biokat" company, is the owner of the new plant worth to $ 3 mln. The plant is located on the territory of the local Agricultural Academy.
