I. Kirilenko: Funds allocated for AIC purposes in draft budget-2002 were increased by 200 million hryvnyas

Funds allocated for AIC purposes in draft budget-2002 were increased by 200 million hryvnyas, Minister of Agrarian Politics Ivan Kirilenko announced.

In his words, expenditure for AIC purposes in draft budget 2002 approximately total 1.4 billion hryvnyas vs. 1.2 billion hryvnyas in 2001.

As the Minister said, increase of funds for AIC next year exceed same rates in other industries. "Draft budget for the next year provides increase of expenses for AIC by 8 percent, while same rates in other industries, on average, total about 5 percent", - I. Kirilenko pointed out. Also 2002 budget envisages increase of social payments by approximately 30 percent.

In addition, according to the Minister, during the nearest government meeting (September 5), where 2002 budget will be discussed, "representatives of the agrarian sector will propose to increase budget allocations to AIC during the next year for 200-300 million hryvnyas more".
