Russia to see seasonal price-cutting for vegetables and fruits
Last month gave Russian financial officials unexpected surprise. For the first time, rise in prices did not exceed the level of the previous year and totaled 0.5% against 0.9% in 2007. Moreover, real data proved to be better than analysts expected (0.6-0.7%). In Moscow, prices reduced by 0.1%.
However, such figures can be explained by seasonal price-cutting of vegetables and fruits. The prices decreased due to good harvest. On an average, prices for vegetables went down by 16.7%, fruits and citrus plants – by 3.3%.
