New high-technology green houses to appear in Sakhalin oblast

Sakhalin oblast started realization of the projects of cluster development of regions – creation of high-technological green houses.

Yuri Vygolov, the First Deputy Head of Regional Administration of Agriculture, reported to the correspondents that for now they plan construction of such complexes in three municipal okrugs –Anivskiy, Dolinskiy and Tmovskiy.

-This is a very interesting and useful idea, - he said. – While tariffs for electrical and thermal energy are constantly increasing, here, production will be based on natural gas, which will be delivered to regions according to the program of the oblast gasification by the end of 2010. The structure of agro-industrial clusters will include the thermoelectric power stations, producing cheaper electricity and heat, round-year operating contemporary green houses on agricultural produce cultivation, cottages for specialists.

Dolinskiy okrug is one of the first okrugs that became to realize this project. According to Vitaliy Danilov, the First vice government executive of the Municipality Administration, their agro-industrial complex will have four production directions. The green house company will be engaged in cultivation of ecologically pure flowers, berries and vegetables. The powerful refrigerated terminals will provide three types of fruit and berry freezing. The markets for their sales will be then found both within the country and abroad. At that, the liquefied carbonic gas will be also sold for export. It is in demand by food and other industries. The German firm, specialized in cultivation and export of roses, becomes the main investor of the project.

Municipal okgugs have already started allocating the land plots under construction of agro-complexes. The future projects are included into the general planning scheme of urban districts. During the period since 2010 till 2014, it is foreseen to put into operation 110.000 ha of the protected grounds.
