Georgia: state not to regulate the prices for grapes
The state will not longer regulate the prices for grapes, informed Michael Saakashvili in Telavi.
Talking about grape harvesting in Kahetia, started few days ago, the President of Georgia stated that the state could not longer regulate prices. But the government may follow right policy so that the grape-growers will suffer minimum damage.
According to the President’s statement, the government allocated grape subsidies: for black grape- $0.17/kg, white grape - $0.1/kg.
The President stated that today they have a difficult period. Instead of the Russian market they need to enter other markets. At that, the President noted that the government is working under question of preferential arriving of the Georgian production to the American market, GHN reported.
