Kazakhstan: independence from imports of vegetable oil, early vegetables and fruits to be achieved in the next 4 years
Akylbek Kurishbaev, the Minister of agriculture of the Republic of Kazakstan, in his report told about the arrangements for increasing of agrarian complex competitiveness, reported Muratbek Makulbekov, the correspondent of “Kazinform”.
“The main and strategical direction of our activity is industrialization of the branch due to technical and technological reequipment. Also, we plan to diversify farming and introduce moisture and resource-saving technologies in production. To stimulate introduction of these technologies the grants for using them will be raisen. Besides, we plan to form a special program for growers to compensate their costs of purchasing of chemical fertilizers”, added Kurishbaev.
Also , the Minister reported that the government will support production of sugar-beet, oilseeds, fruits and vegetables, especially the early varieties. That is why, the construction of hot-houses and fruit and vegetable storehouses will be granted.
“At the moment, construction of four large and middle hot-houses, 43 mini hot-houses with the total area of 9 hectares was financed. Thus , we expect to provide complete independence from import of vegetable oil, early vegetables and fruits in the next 4 years”, added Akylbek Kurishbaev.
