Ukraine: nut business to develop

During the Fifth International Conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2008", organized by Fruit-Inform project, the Second International Forum ”Nut Business of Ukraine – 2008” will be held on December 4, 2008, in Kiev in the Expocentre of Ukraine. 150 delegates from 5-7 countries of Europe are expected to participate.

In January, 2008 Fruit-Inform project organized the first forum in the CIS, which that became an important event in the nut industry. 110 representatives of nuts business from Ukraine, Russia, France and Moldova participated in the forum. The nut business of Ukraine is on the forming stage. Number of producers and trading organizations increase yearly, market participants are interested in receiving information about news in nuts growing and pre-sale processing technologies and about the most profitable channels of sale.

So that, Fruit-Inform project decided to organize the same conferences in Ukraine every year.

”Ukrainian Nuts Association” became a coorganizer of the conference. It is important to note that the First International Nut Forum was a stimulus for Association building .

At the moment, participation in the conference was confirmed by the delegations of Nut Associations from France and Moldova, and also by the Ukrainian research officers and nut producers.

The program of the Forum includes the most important aspects beginning from the chose and purchase of saplings to the features of nut trade in Ukraine and beyond its bounds.

So that, Fruit-Inform project decided to organize the same conferences in Ukraine every year.
