Dagestan: grape harvesting to draw to a close

In Dagestan the grape harvesting campaign is be finished at the beginning of the next week. At the moment , almost all volumes of harvested technical grape are processed. The basic lots of grapes were purchased by the large domestic processed enterprises. The large wine-brandy producers purchased the whole harvest of the technical varieties and some part of table grape harvest.

As it was reported earlier, thousands of grape plantations were destroyed due to cold weather in February , 2008. So that the most priority aims of the farms of Dagestan are to restore vineyards and increase gross production of grapes to the level of 250.000 tonnes.
