Russia: record crop of potatoes harvested

In 2008, the record crop of potatoes was harvested in Sverdlovsk region.

As Sergei Cheremezov, the regional minister of agriculture and food, reported, as of October 16, 140.000 tonnes of potatoes were harvested, up 30 tonnes as compared to the previous year, reported IA REGNUMs.
