Russia: fruit and vegetable produce fall

During the period from October 7 till 13, 2008, prices for fruit and vegetable produce decreased by 0.5 % on an average. Prices for carrot and onion decreased by 1.6 % and 1.2 %, respectively, reported by the Federal Service of State Statistics on October 15.

During the reporting period, consumer price index totaled 100.2 %, from the beginning of the month – 100.4 %, from the beginning of the year – 111.0 % as compared to the same indices of the last year: 100.9 % and 108.5 %, respectively, as a whole, in October – 101.6 %.
