Ukraine: purchasing prices for carrot decreased twice

Purchasing prices for carrot are almost 2 times less as compared to the same indices of the previous year, reported the specialists of processing plants to the specialists of Fruit-Inform project. At the moment, purchasing prices for carrot are declared by the tinned food factories within a range of 0.13 euro/kg as compared to the prices of the same period of the last year, when the highest possible price reached 0.28 euro/kg. As the specialists reported, the main reason is increased supply of carrot during the current season due to extension of lands and increase of yield.

As the processors reported, there are no preconditions for rise in prices for carrot, most processors suppose that prices will stay invariable till the end of forming of raw material base.

At the same time, there is no reason for decrease of prices for finished commodity. The majority of enterprises plan to increase prices due to rise in prices for package, energy resources and increasing of costs.
