Russia: decrease of cabbage yield observed in Central region

In the Central region of Russia, decrease of yield of late cabbage varieties is observed, reported farmers of the Central Federal District to the specialists of Fruit-Inform project.

Cold spring during the period of varieties planting and drought during the ripening period negatively influenced general yield. At the moment increase of demand for late varieties is observed and the selling prices are at the highest possible level. The prices for cabbage are declared within a range of 0.12- 0.17 euro/kg that corresponds top the previously set prices. The majority of market participants reported that the price range will increase in the nearest future.
