Ukraine: prices for spring onion to decrease

According to the information provided by the specialists of Fruit-Inform project, Ukraine observed reduction in prices for spring onion. At the moment the prices for onion are declared by the farmers within a range of 1.42- 2.85 euro/kg, down 25 % as compared to the indices of the last week. Producers are reassured that the main reason is a substantial increase of spring onion supply on the market. The yield in the farms increased due to warm weather, at the same time, demand for the produce remains relatively stable that force the sellers to substantially decrease prices.
