Ukraine: prices for cabbage down

Ukraine sees a bearish trend on the market of cabbage, reported producers from almost all regions of the country to the specialists of Fruit-Inform project.

During the current week, selling prices for the product are fixed within a range of 0.07- 0.14 euro/kg , down 20 % compared to the last week indices.

According to the market participators, the main reason is increase of supplies of late cabbage varieties on the market which are harvested by almost all farms throughout the country. The other reason is demand decreasing for produce from wholesale companies and budget organizations which, despite the harvesting campaign, had to reduce volumes of purchasing due to financial crisis.
