Ukraine: difficulties with payment for raw material

Economic crisis negatively influences on processing industry, reported representatives of many enterprises to Fruit-Inform project. Reduction of bank crediting programs entailed responsibility decrease of many potential purchasers. As a result, wholesalers increase delay of payment for processors due to purchasing decrease from retail chains. This situation compels processors increase terms of payment for agrarian producers which at the moment, agree to interact only at conditions of full prepaid. According to the representatives of processing industry, it is impossible to forecast the future development of the market. Some enterprises apprehend to lose traditional suppliers of raw material, besides, according to specialists’ forecast, substantial reduction of lands for vegetable cultivating is expected in the nearest future. As a result, the situation with raw material supplies may substantially worsen that will negatively influence on functioning of tinned food factories and industry development in general.
