Russia: prices for onion continue decreasing

Prices for onion continue decreasing in the South of Russia, reported onion sellers of the Russian Federation to Fruit-Inform project. At the moment prices for the main supplies are declared within a range of 0.087-0.12 euro/kg as compared to the last week minimum level that reached 0.12 euro/kg.

The main reason of price decrease is surplus of onion supplies and low purchasing activity of wholesale companies. As for the further development of this market segment, producers reported that prices for onion would not change.
