Ukraine: exports from Crimea leads to deficiency

According to Sergei Pelagenko, the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy, high volumes of vegetable produce exports from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea may lead to a substantial deficiency of vegetables on the territory.

At the moment vegetable exports from the Crimea is 400 tonnes up as compared to the imports, reported Pelagenko to “Vegetables the Crimean information agency”.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that this year the Republic would avoid last year’s situation when all the harvested produce was exported and as a result, people had to purchase produce at the highest possible prices.
