Dagestan to complete potato harvesting

Potato harvesting is drawing to a close, reported RIA “Dagestan” . In general, farmers still have to harvest nearly 500 ha of potato plantations from the whole area of 22.900 ha. At the moment 373.000 tonnes are harvested, up 18.000 tonnes compared to the same period of the last year. The average yield throughout the Republic totals 166 c/ha, and the highest possible index reached the level of 300 c/ha.

For this year, the Ministry of agriculture planned to cultivate potatoes throughout 24.600 ha and to harvest more than 385.000 tonnes of potatoes.
