Ukraine: 178.000 tonnes of potatoes harvested in the Crimea

As of the beginning of October, 178.000 tonnes of potatoes were harvested in the Crimea that is up 7 % as compared to the same date of 2007, reported representatives of the Statistics central directorate of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to UNIAN.

According to the data, harvested potato lands increased by 6%, yield – by 0.4 c/ha to the level of 92.1 c/ha.

Gross crop of open-soil vegetables increased by 19% as compared to the same period of the last year and reached the level of 137.400 tonnes, the harvested area increased by 11%, yield – by 8 c/ha to the level of 121.1 c/ha.
