Ukraine: purchasing priced for cabbage down twice

Purchasing prices for cabbage decreased by almost 2 times compared to the previous year, reported processors, starting purchasing the raw material, to the specialists of Fruit-Inform project. At the moment enterprises purchase cabbage at prices no higher than 0.06 euro/kg compared to the same period of the last year when prices were declared at the level of 0.13 euro/kg. According to the specialists, this situation is caused by general overproduction of cabbage in the current season.

But, despite the cheap raw material, most processors reported that price decrease for finished commodities was unlikely due to price increasing for packing and energy resources.
